Support the decision

The direct decision

Make the decision clear once the important questions have been answered.

When this helps

The buyer has confirmed the need, decision process, terms, and implementation expectations.

A question to make your own
“Have we addressed what you need to decide, or is something still unresolved?”

Check readiness

Review the agreed outcome, cost, responsibilities, and remaining dependencies. Be honest about anything still unconfirmed.

Ask simply, then listen

A clear question gives the buyer room to decide or name a concern. Let them finish. Do not fill the silence with more persuasion.

Confirm what the answer means

If they agree, explain the actual contracting and onboarding steps. If they hesitate, learn why. Never represent verbal interest as a signed agreement.

What to watch for

Asking for a commitment before the buyer understands the terms, or hiding implementation requirements until after signature.

Make it yours

One thing to try.

Rehearse the decision question aloud. Follow it with a pause, not another pitch.

Put it into practice

Help me prepare a clear decision conversation. List the facts that must be confirmed, unresolved issues, and one respectful closing question. Do not claim the deal is won before an actual agreement.
