Better closing

“Let’s keep in touch” isn’t a next step.

Agree on a small action that helps the buyer decide.

Give the meeting a purpose

Before proposing another call, name the question it will answer. A technical review, stakeholder discussion, or implementation check should reduce a specific uncertainty.

Make the agreement concrete

Confirm the action, owner, participants, and date. A suggestion becomes a shared next step only when the buyer agrees.

Respect a pause

Sometimes the useful outcome is to stop. If the buyer has no reason to continue now, agree on whether and when a future conversation would help.

Make it yours

One thing to try.
